The Department of Post Graduate studies & Research in Commerce, at Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Quepem (GCQ), strives to develop Postgraduate and Research level programmes for creating professional manpower required by the current competitive world.
It ensures the relevance of programmes by updating course regularly and provides innovative, flexible and open systems of education by using all the effective teaching methodology and by applying modern communication technologies to education. The department is constantly involved in establishing the linkages with industries to share experience and expertise to help the students to become more effective decision makers in their fields by updating their knowledge and managerial skills.
The M. Com. Course spread across semesters I to IV, is developed for the students wishing to improve their professional and management expertise. The students would work in the actual work situations to complete the PG programme. This academic programme is designed for non-working or regular students only. The M.Com course conducted by the University is aimed at imparting comprehensive knowledge and practice covering all aspects of commerce and its application in the industry.
Admission to the M.com programme is open to all the citizens of India who satisfy the following conditions:- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce recognized by Goa University.
- A score of minimum 40% of aggregate marks.
- Admission is based on the merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
